Some people have trouble going outside all gothed-up. They worry about what people think about them, they don't like people staring at them etc.
But I think this is a good time to take a page from Mr. guy who threw the shoe at Bush.
Why did he do it? He wanted to fight for what he believed in, hitting Bush in the face with his show. He knew he would be arrested, but he didn't care. He just went ahead and did it... he missed, but still, he tried.
What does this have to do with dressing goth?
We dress that way to express how we feel towards society and life in general. We also like to freak people out. Some people are only in it for the shock factor anyway.
The photo on your left is of some goth guy. Look at the conformists behind him. He doesn't care, he's just going wherever he has to go.
Just ignore the people around you and do whatever you want... remember, your dressing like that for yourself, not for them. Ignore their comments, if they stare, just stare back, and if they laugh just kick their... nevermind, you get the picture.
Listening to a good song helps people gain courage too. I prefer 'We Hate Everyone' by Type O Negative.
Thanks for reading.
